Christmas Celebrations in Turkey

Christmas in Turkey is celebrated only by the small Christian minority, primarily through religious and family observances. The general population does not celebrate Christmas, and it is not a public holiday. However, New Year’s Eve is widely observed, and seasonal decorations often reflect this occasion. In major cities, limited Christmas markets and events may appear, mostly in areas with high tourist activity or Christian presence.
